12 Hours of Prayer for Palliative Care

Monday, May 4, 2026 • 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

Hosted Virtually by the Ontario Provincial Council of The Catholic Women’s League of Canada

The Ontario Provincial Council invites all members, parish communities, and partners in faith to participate in our 12 Hours of Prayer for Palliative Care, a province‑wide virtual gathering dedicated to prayer, formation, and advocacy for compassionate palliative care in Ontario and across Canada.

Event Overview

This 12‑hour initiative brings together every CWL diocesan council in Ontario. Each diocesan council will sponsor one hour of the day, offering a unique opportunity for shared prayer and reflection.

Each hour follows a consistent, prayerful format:

  • 15 minutes of Adoration
  • 15‑minute presentation (guest speaker or video related to palliative care)
  • 15 minutes of guided reflection
  • A decade of the Rosary, led by the sponsoring diocese
