World Day of Migrants and Refugees 2025 – A Call to Serve
On October 4-5, 2025, the Church marks the World Day of Migrants and Refugees with the theme “Migrants, Missionaries of Hope.” Pope Leo XIV reminds us that “communities that welcome them can also be a living witness to hope, one that is understood as the promise of a present and a future where the dignity of all as children of God is recognized. In this way, migrants and refugees are recognized as brothers and sisters, part of a family in which they can express their talents and participate fully in community life”.
As CWL members, we are called to respond with prayer, welcome, and action—living out our mission of faith, service, and social justice. Let us be instruments of hope and compassion for those who have given up everything.
