National Hospice Palliative Care Week invites us to reflect deeply on the dignity of every person and the importance of compassionate care at every stage of life. This year’s theme, “Palliative Care Everywhere,” emphasizes that quality hospice palliative care should be accessible in every setting — at home, in hospice, in long‑term care, or in hospital. As the document states, “palliative care can and should be available in any setting to meet individual needs.”
In keeping with our national theme, Ignite Your Passion, Empower His Mission, Ontario CWL members are encouraged to study and act on the League’s resolutions related to palliative care, advocating for equitable access and strong national standards.
We invite you to read the full reflection and resource prepared by Hilarion Mitchell, OPC Social Justice Chair, which includes key resolutions, advocacy points, and links to Horizons of Hope: A Toolkit for Catholic Parishes on Palliative Care. 👉 2026 National Hospice Palliative Care Week
