Advent Week Three: The Shepherd’s Candle of Joy This Sunday we light the pink candle—the Shepherd’s Candle, a symbol of Joy. On Gaudete Sunday, we pause to rejoice in the Good News, just as the shepherds rejoiced when the angels announced Christ’s birth.
Prayer for Joy: Lord Jesus, fill our hearts with the joy of Your presence. May we, like the shepherds, rejoice in Your coming and share Your love with others. Amen.
Take time this week to reflect on the joy God has given you—in family, in service, and in faith. Write down three blessings that bring you joy, and offer them back to God in gratitude.
May the Shepherd’s Candle remind us that true joy is found in Christ, our Saviour.
