Prayer #1
Heavenly, Most Loving, Gracious Father, we come before you to humbly ask that you comfort us in our moments of loneliness. Be our shelter in the midst of the storm. Walk beside us every step of the way. Lord, at times we feel so alone, crying out for attention, in desperation, looking for some sort of acknowledgement from a single soul. Remind us that you are always there, right at our side, whenever we call. No matter the time, the hour, the situation, Oh Lord, you have promised to never leave us nor forsake us.

No one with whom to share a word, a laugh, a sad remembrance,
a gentle touch, a fond embrace, a kiss of love.
Bless each one who suffers from such loneliness.
Enrich their life with a friend or gentle stranger
who will spend a moment noticing and loving.
In those times your love shines through,
the world is reborn, and Christ is known.
So be it!

We all have cares and problems we cannot solve alone.
But if we go to God in prayer we are never on “our own”…
And if we try to stand alone we are weak and we will fall.
For God is always Greatest when we’re helpless, lost and small.
And no day is unmeetable if on rising our first thought
Is to thank God for the blessings that His loving care has brought…
For there can be no failures or hopeless, unsaved sinners
If we enlist the help of God who makes all losers winners…
So meet Him in the morning and go with Him through the day
And thank Him for His guidance each evening when you pray.
And if you follow faithfully this daily way to pray
You will never in your lifetime face another “hopeless day.”
For like a soaring eagle you too can rise above
The “storms of life” around you on the wings
of prayer and love.

My Daily Offering
Most loving Father, I thank You for the gift of this new day.
Please help me to use it for Your honour and glory.
By Your mercy may all my thoughts, words,
and actions be pleasing today in Your sight.
In Your unfailing kindness, Lord almighty, forgive my
past failings, preserve me this day without sin,
and protect all Your people from every evil.
May the ever-blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of
our Saviour, keep us under her special protection.
By her prayers and the aid of all Your Saints, kindly keep us
ever intent on doing good today for Your names’s sake.
These great blessings we ask in confidence through
Your Son, Jesus Christ, our Lord.

To You before the close of day
Creator of the world we pray
Out of Your kindness help us keep
Watch all around us while we sleep
From all bad dreams defend our eyes
From nightly fears and fantasies

That no pollution we may know

Through Jesus Christ Your only Son
